I woke up in the hospital with a lunch tray sitting quietly on my table. Against my ed judgement I pulled it only my lap and just started eating. I know I'm supposed to eat mindfully, but I didn't. I ate instinctively. Not raw instinct, I still don't feel hungry, but basic 5-year-old "it's lunch time and so now is when I eat" instinct. It's a small win. And it's not bad. Hello grilled chicken with squash and mushrooms. Not bad.
Puffy, but feeling better.
Also, my potassium is up to 3.7! For those who don't know, potassium is an electrolyte that keeps your heart beating. Normal levels are 3.5+, low is under 3.5,, dangerous is under 3, life threatening is under 2.5. Mine was 2.3! Low potassium levels can cause cardiac arrest. Or as my nurses warned me, "you don't take, you go home, *snapped fingers* you drop dead."
