Be Nice to You!!

This weekend Therapist has encouraged me to focus on "self-care." Which is therapy-speak for being nice to my own self. Since you can't love somebody else without loving yourself first, I'd love if everyone who reads this could do something nice for you TODAY and tell me about it! (post a comment . . . I'd love you extra if you emailed a picture... camilla.kuhns@gmail.com). This morning I made my favorite breakfast (orange cranberry scones), and now I'm going to lay by the pool and give myself a pedicure. I'm pretty sure scones + freshly painted toes + sunshine + my brother's dogs = happy.
I really want to hear about your own "self-care", so leave a comment and I'm going to send two of you my favorite scone recipe and my favorite nail polish. Because everyone should have gorgeous toes and a happy stomach :)
Much love,
Me

  1. I love this! Hope you enjoyed your self pampering :) today, my husband went to a lacrosse game with his little brother so I put the baby to bed a few minutes early and treated myself to a hot bubble bath and finished a good book! The peace and quiet was much needed after a hectic week!

    Xoxo

  3. Yay for self-care! My 8-year-old daughter gave me a "massage." It wasn't quite the real thing, but it felt good and was extra-special because it was from her, and it beat wiping the 1 or 3-year-olds' bums for a change!
Keep up the "positivism!" We love Camilla!!

  4. Tonight I treated myself to chicken-less chicken nuggets and then practicing some Ingrid Michaelson on the piano. Music and vegetarian food warm my soul. :)

  5. Today I went to yoga and read a book. Yoga makes my fibromyalgia-achy-body physically happy and books make me mentally happy.

    I love your blog!

  8. Today, I am doing some self-care by sprawling out on the couch with a homemade latte, propping up my feet, and watching some Netflix while my kiddos take their naps. And tonight, I'm making no-bake chocolate cookies, just because I love them. :-)

  9. Camilla,

This is a random spot for me to be commenting, but I have just recently started reading your blog. I too have an ED and hate the stinking thing so badly that I can't even begin to express it. Yet it continues and has done so since I was in high school. I'm 36 now, blah. Anyways, my bishop actually suggested that I contact you and just correspond with you about your successes and how you are dealing with things, so here I am :) It's great to hear you're doing better though and I wish you continued success!
